Haystack Dryers’ Success Worldwide in 2013

News

2013 has been another successful year for Haystack Dryers.  The award winning ‘people dryer’ company has seen growth within existing customers, new regions and new business sectors.

Haystack Dryers have been supplying theme parks, water parks and leisure centres with body dryers for almost 15 years.  Based in Dorset, UK, where the products are manufactured, the company has teams of roving engineers and representatives in USA and China.

European business has seen numerous additions including new sites within the Plopsa group, Compagnie Des Alpes and the Looping Group.  Cyclone Dryers, the large 5 person version,  have been added to theme parks in France, Germany, Belgium, Spain, Holland, Turkey, Finland and the UK, this year alone.  As well as water ride dryers, there has been increased demand in dryers for water park changing room environments with Hurricane Dryers being placed  in  new sites such as Therme Erding, Aqualibi and Center Parcs Bostalsee.

The dryers continue to be a fun, reliable and profitable addition to the theme park industry with a number of benefits to the attraction owner.

Business Development Manager Simon Nicholson said   “It’s a winning formula – the dryers provide a customer service that the guests enjoy, which in turn generates incremental revenue for the attraction.  If guests are dry and happy they are more likely to stay longer, have a better experience and engage in other activities”

The Far East has been an area of considerable expansion.   New accounts have been won and installed in Malysia, Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia and Taiwan and there is also considerable interest from China and Japan that is likely to continue this expansion through 2014.

North America continues to grow with new sites in Canada and additional dryers placed with current  US clients to meet demand.  New accounts for the year have included Darrien Lake,  Hershey’s Park and Gatorland (below).

As well as the leisure sector, Haystack dryers have been branching out into Health Care and a number of other markets due to the versatility of their products.

Managing Director Paul Thomas said “These are exciting times with lots of potential in Asia and new business sectors that builds on our current success.  We are very optimistic about 2014 and have some great plans for product development that will be revealed soon!”

Haystack Dryers, who earlier this month won the EEF Outstanding Exporter award for the South West, will be exhibiting at the up-coming IAAPA show in Orlando later in November.
