Holiday World has Vintage Plans for 2017

News

Holiday World has revealed unveiled new plans for the park in 2017.

Staff together with media did a “Mannequin challenge” in making the announcement.

Matt Eckert, President & CEO of Holiday World said, “Next year is going to be pretty big year for us, in terms of the number of projects we have. We have over 100 different projects that we’re taking on next year.”

Significant projects include: replacing/reinventing the play structure in Holidog’s FunTown, and making the area accessible to children of all abilities. Renovations will also be made to the Star Spangled Carousel and the train in Holidog Express.

Furthermore,  a vintage ride from 1972,  “the Firecracker” will arrive at Holiday World. This will place in the park’s 4th of July zone and be ready to ride when the park opens in April.

“We wanted a good traditional ride, and when we came across this ride we were like this is perfect,  we want to get this ride, let’s restore it. Let’s bring it up to Holiday World Standards. We’re calling it the firecracker. We’re bringing back a vintage name for a vintage ride, ” Eckert said.

Next year’s projects are focused on how can we enhance the guest experience, how can we enhance the employee experience to make things great for everyone, ” Matt Eckert said.
