Alison Jamele, CEO of immersive attraction technologies specialist, MediaMation, was a featured panelist at a financial forum – “Investing in the Success of African-American Owned Small Businesses.”
The LA event, co-sponsored by Black Enterprise.com, J.P. Morgan Chase & Co. and VEDC, was live streamed via FORA.tv.
According to Chase Business Banking Marketing Manager, Deidra Porche, African-American owned small businesses represent the fastest-growing segment in the US.
Jamele and her husband, Dan Jamele, launched MediaMation Inc. from a garage in 1991. It is now recognised worldwide for supplying 4D motion EFX cinema, Virtual Reality, and amusement industry technologies to theatres, theme parks, museums, zoos, and many other attractions.
“Eventually, it got to the point where we needed some cash flow in the form of a line of credit, and [Chase Bank] gave us a very nice line of credit so we can continue with the research and development in order to improve our products, ” commented Jamele.
MediaMation and Chase Bank have enjoyed a long-standing business relationship. Both partners were featured in Chase Bank radio and Internet commercials which launched in May 2014.
