Open as of April, 2013, Mirage Entertainment and Ocean Adventure team up for the new evening “Dinner Show Cruise” at Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic – a great, up-and-coming vacation alternative to Cancun (its nearest competitor).

Presented by the Ocean Adventure resort and produced by Mirage Entertainment, this three hour role-playing/sea tour experience, embarking from the “Pirate Village” attraction, includes an audience-participation, live performance aboard the pirate tour boat, “Hispaniola, ” and lobster dinner at the “Shark Bay” attraction (with a live shark exhibit). Operating year-round with a 28 member, multi-national cast, this first-of-its kind, interactive tour show delivers a unique and unforgettable experience for all ages.
Considering its unprecedented and innovative nature, this project has overcome a myriad of challenges, overcoming language barriers (with its multi-national cast) technical difficulties (in the construction of its 200 passenger tour boat), logistical problems (providing food catering to its off-shore feature), and political considerations (conforming to its eco-friendly water zone regulations). Yet, despite all this, the creative teams at Ocean Adventure and Mirage Entertainment have pulled together in the achievement of spectacular success. According to show director, Tito Enriquez, “the four months of rehearsals have overcome any possible difficulties. We are an ambitious team of professionals, working toward a single goal: to make this project happen.”
Many in the Mirage creative team also recall their feelings upon seeing their hard work finally pay off. “It was really a heart-touching moment, ” said one. “We were all thrilled and thankful for this wonderful project”. Ocean Adventure owner, Carmen Rodriguez Nunez, agrees. “We are very thankful for the changes that were implemented to the show. They have really filled our expectations and calmed the concerns we were having, ” says Rodriguez Nunez. “We are now confident that we are about to launch a hit! The Ocean Adventure family proudly joins the list of great shows produced by …[the Mirage Entertainment] company.”
The unique and ambitious “Dinner Show Cruise” has certainly turned a new page for Mirage – already an industry leader in live, theme park entertainment.
