Leading creative design, build and fit company, Scruffy Dog, has appointed Diego Cid as Executive Art Director at its Barcelona office.
Cid brings over 25 years’ experience directing numerous projects for companies such as Warner Bros, DC Comics, Disney Theatrical, Cartoon Network, Cirque du Soleil and Wanda Group.
Although a Spanish national, he has spent half of his professional career in the USA, giving him a broad knowledge and understanding of the attractions and entertainment industry.

Scruffy Dog was founded in 2009 by Joe Bright in a garage in Essex, UK. The company has since grown into one of the industry’s most dynamic themed design and build firms.
Last year, it opened Europe’s largest specialist design studios. The company’s expertise encompasses diverse projects ranging from world-class theme parks & resorts, museums and visitor attractions to live shows, film, TV & stage and more.
Scruffy Dog is understood to be the only ISO certified turnkey theming company. It offers design, build, fit-out and site works for some of the world’s largest operators and leading theme parks, resorts & attractions.
Recent projects include Legoland Castle Hotel (main image). The company is currently involved with the visitor experience at Portugal’s World of Wine, a world-class attraction celebrating Porto’s wine heritage, home to some of the most famous port and sherry brands such as Taylor’s and Croft’s. World of Wine is slated to open in 2020.
