UK and France based Interlink has started 2012 with the acquisition of several new contracts following a prosperous 2011. It is also thought that the company has further agreements nearing completion for a variety of different attractions.

The design, production and implementation of its latest project is to be a two lift Super Flume for PowerPark and it is thought that the attraction will feature two lifts and two drops. These will be 7 and 14 metres respectively and will have an overall circuit length of around 400 metres.

The flume will also feature a 12 metre station section and will be capable of accommodating around 600 visitors per hour in its nine, six-seater boats.

The new themed attraction will be constructed in a new section of PowerPark and the soundtrack from movie “Bridge over the river Kwai” will play as guests enjoy fantastic views over the attraction from the bridge.

“We’ve enjoyed a great deal of success with our log flume rides over the years, ” said Interlink Managing Director John Hudd, “and are naturally delighted that PowerPark has chosen Interlink to provide them with such an attraction.”

“It’s been an interesting project to work on and to design and I’m sure it will be a very popular addition to the park when it opens in the summer.”

Interlink has offices in France and the UK and was founded in 1982 with the specific intention to supply a range of affordable water attractions to theme, amusement and waterparks.

The company carry out all of the design and manufacture work ‘in-house’ and has developed a variety of rides suitable for parks of all sizes. They also offer ‘dry’ rides including scenic trains and rollercoasters and many of their rides have been installed in entertainment parks around the world.
Upcoming projects are thought to include a similar, two-lift flume for a southern US pier and a further European water ride. Interlink’s range of rides include the Rapid River ride, Water Battle, Shoot the Chute, Spin Boat and many more including a new range of panoramic towers.

Interlink design and manufacture water rides to suit all ages and have a range of children’s rides available such as the kiddy and junior flumes.
