The first Leading Edge Award was for the world’s first AquaCourseTM, an aquatic ropes course at Alabama’s Splash Adventure Waterpark. When asked why the AquaCourseTM was chosen, Kent Lemasters, President of AmusementAquatic Management Group, Inc., said, “We were looking for an attraction that was unique, rather than just a ride. We wanted a participatory attraction with lots of interaction that would keep people occupied… AquaCourseTM quickly became the number one attraction in the park.”

WhiteWater received two additional awards for its contribution to Yas Waterworld Abu Dhabi. The awards are for the master planning and the development of “Pearlmasters” and “Slither’s Slides”, as well as for “Bubble’s Barrel”, the world’s largest sheet wave ride. WhiteWater provided the original concept and was chosen to supply 12 of the 14 complexes at Yas Waterworld Abu Dhabi, including the world’s first RattlerTM and SplashQuestTM, an interactive game adventure.

But ORIGINAL is also about being seriously fun and innovative! It’s about thinking outside-the-pool; taking time to play, creating the newest, coolest attractions; not being afraid to be different and to take risks; and most of all, supplying the most memorable, WOW-that-made-my-day experiences in the world!
