ProSlide Technology Inc., an industry leader in water ride manufacturing and design, is celebrating the success of IAAPA Expo Europe 2024 in Amsterdam, which highlighted the changing environment of European water parks.
Europe has a rich history of theme parks and water parks, and the inspiring event demonstrated how the market is evolving through thoughtful innovations that appeal to today’s visitors.
Industry-leading partners
Siam Park, in Tenerife, has been crowned the World’s #1 Water Park by Tripadvisor for ten years running. Upholding its reputation as a world-leading water park, it was named the “Best of the Best” at the Park World Excellence Awards this year.
“ProSlide takes immense pride in being the sole trusted water ride partner of Siam Park, supplying each innovative water ride since day one,” says a spokesperson from the firm.
The park’s general manager, Christoph Kiessling, and the team come from zoological backgrounds and are highly environmentally conscious. Siam Park operates a variety of sustainability initiatives to preserve the natural beauty of the Canary Islands, and it has been designated as a Biosphere Certified Park.
The park’s owner, Wolfgang Kiessling, has also been honoured in the Park World Excellence Awards. The attractions veteran received the Industry Icon Operator Award for his decades of achievements at Loro Parque and Siam Park.

In addition, Aqualibi, the top indoor water park in Belgium, has been transformed this year. ProSlide has collaborated with Compagnie Des Alpes to produce a stunning architectural design with four of the best water rides in the world, establishing Aqualibi as a new key reference for indoor water parks in Europe.
Setting the standard
ProSlide’s innovative water coasters continue to set the standard in Europe and the Middle East, increasing brand recognition and elevating guest experiences. Attractions such as SINGHA and SAIFA at Siam Park, Turtle Coaster at The Land of Legends, MammothBLAST at Aquashow, Banzai at Aqualibi, and Medusa’s Lair and Shock Wave at Atlantis Aquaventure Dubai are delivering high attendance and visitor satisfaction.
ProSlide is committed to providing timely innovations that yield practical results, as water parks continue to expand across the globe.
“Our vision for the future of water parks isn’t 100-m towers, but rather fewer towers – a lean toward performance and practicality,” explains the firm. “This is highlighted by Turtle Coaster at The Land of Legends, which features ProSlide’s launched RocketBLAST technology, enabling the first accessible, at-grade loading and unloading, closed-circuit water coaster in Europe.”
Sustainability is also key to the firm’s approach.
“We’re proud to have developed an innovative, sustainable aquatic play feature at Water World Lloret, which utilizes the natural landscape and minimizes the use of steel compared to conventional play structures,” says ProSlide. “Kids can now enjoy the World’s First KIDZ Double TornadoWAVE and KIDZ FlyingSAUCER, designed with fun and the environment in mind.”
Supporting growth
Looking forward, the 2025 IAAPA Honors ceremony is set to take place at Europa-Park. The park’s water world, Rulantica, has been a global leader in indoor water park experiences since its launch in 2019. It is constantly growing with world-class additions such as ProSlide’s RideHOUSE, Svalgurok, in 2021, and its RallyRACER, Vikingløp, in 2023.
ProSlide will continue to support the growth and transformation of the sector, leveraging its thorough understanding of the distinctive characteristics of the market, including quality, tradition, sustainability, and providing authentic visitor experiences.
“ProSlide remains committed to listening to the needs of the European market, ensuring that our future projects resonate with the values that truly matter to clients and their guests,” says a spokesperson from the firm. “We look forward to shaping the future of water parks together.”
Last month, ProSlide celebrated the opening of its 20th project in collaboration with Great Wolf Lodge. Great Geyser Water Park spans 92,000 square feet and opened to visitors on 7 August.Â
