WhiteWater, a leading waterpark manufacturer, has unveiled its 2025 Impact Report on Earth Day 2026. This outlines the company’s efforts in environmental, social, supply chain, and governance areas.

Since launching corporate-wide sustainability initiatives in 2021, WhiteWater has refined its approach. This includes enhancing internal systems, collecting higher-quality data, and standardising environmental impact assessments, culminating in the first report in 2024.

This second report shows how these efforts are now being implemented in practice.

Highlights from 2025

Last year, the organisation achieved several significant milestones. They successfully passed the 2025 ISO 14001 audit for the second consecutive year and obtained ISO 14001 certification for Endless Surf, WhiteWater’s surf business unit.

Additionally, a new greenhouse gas inventory report was produced, accounting for emissions from equipment, facilities, travel, commutes, and freight (partial).

The company also conducted fibreglass end-of-life research in collaboration with the University of Victoria and Mitacs, a Canadian non-profit national innovation organisation.

Policies and assessments were implemented to foster a responsible, local supply chain. Moreover, its CSR activities supported local communities and environmental organisations such as Ocean Wise.

“This report reflects the collective effort of our global teams, our partners, and our customers, each playing a role in reducing impact while continuing to deliver world-class experiences,” says Una de Boer, CMO and sustainability executive sponsor.
“While we don’t have all the answers, we have made real progress in 2025. We share this Impact Report as a starting point for dialogue: with our employees, our customers, our partners, and our industry peers.”

The 2025 report highlights a point where steady progress is being achieved and also underscores the steps WhiteWater is taking to better understand its operations and the associated trade-offs.

“As our system matures, so does our approach: we are shifting the focus beyond compliance to value generation,” adds Tony Lam, sustainability program manager.

“Guided by WhiteWater’s Sustainability Scorecard, we are pursuing initiatives that remove barriers to sustainability for our team members, our supply chain partners, and our customers.”
