50bn Yen Super Nintendo World Heading for Universal Studios Japan

“SUPER NINTENDO WORLD™” is heading for Universal Studios Japan in time for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.

Following on from the announcement last month that Nintendo and Universal Studios had made an agreement to create themed attractions, Super Nintendo World Japan will be the first.  Nintendo themed areas are also coming to Orlando and Hollywood.

Super Nintendo World will include state-of-the-art rides and immersive attractions as well as retail and restaurant all featuring Nintendo’s most popular characters and games including themes fromthe much loved Super Mario series.

Development cost at Universal Studios Japan is currently expected to exceed 50 billion Yen.
