IAAPA, the global association for the attractions industry, is celebrating the success of the IAPPA EMEA Spring Summit 2019. The event took place in Finland on the 14th – 15th of May.
Over 125 professionals from the attractions industry, from 17 different countries, met in Finland for the sold out IAAPA EMEA Spring Summit 2019. As part of the event, attendees enjoyed immersive tours of some of Finland’s leading attractions.
Participants visited Linnanmäki, an amusement park in Helsinki with over 40 rides. They also had a tour of Särkänniemi, an adventure destination that includes an amusement park, aquarium, planetarium, and observation tower in Tampere. Finally, they explored Haltia – The Finnish Nature Centre, an exhibition and event centre in Espoo, Finland.

An informative programme of events
Participants listened to educational presentations by a range of industry leaders. Speakers included Pia Adlivankin, managing director of Linnanmäki, Tom Selänniemi, general manager of Haltia Nature Centre, and Miikka Seppälä, CEO of Särkänniemi. The event attendees also took part in a seminar on dynamic pricing and heard from David Depenau, general manager of Weissenhäuser Strand, Franz Blechschmidt, MD Smart Pricer, Andreas Sievering, CEO of Fort Fun, and Stephanie Schaub, CEO of Hachez Chocoversum, and attended a seminar on dynamic pricing.

After the event in Finland, some participants also attended a post-tour in St. Petersburg, Russia. The tour took place on the 16th-17th of May. Attendees enjoyed Divo Ostrov amusement park, Russian ballet night at Mariinsky Theater, and the State Hermitage Museum of Art and Culture.
IAAPA has announced that IAAPA Expo Europe 2019 (formerly Euro Attractions Show) will take place from the 16th – 19th September in Paris. Registration for the event is now open.
