HyperX, the gaming division of HP Inc., has teamed up with AIC Hotel Group to launch the first-ever HyperX Gaming Lounge, which offers an immersive esports experience at the Hard Rock Hotel Riviera Maya in Mexico.
Exclusively for guests of the Hard Rock Hotel Riviera Maya, the HyperX Gaming Lounge is billed as a gamer’s paradise. The interactive attraction features gaming PCs, games consoles, a virtual reality (VR) station, and the latest HyperX products.

Also on offer at the new HyperX venue are gaming events, esports tournaments, and a dedicated area to host special guests. Featuring a futuristic design, the entertainment space was designed and constructed with gamers in mind.
“We’re excited to co-create a gaming experience that can be personalized for leisure travelers, with a great product and service partner in the tourism industry,” added Wendy Lecot, head of strategic alliances at HyperX. “The HyperX experience at the Hard Rock Hotel Riviera Maya gives gaming tourists of all ages an on-site gaming escape that is fun and relaxing.”
The trend for gaming experiences continues to grow. Cedar Fair is potentially developing a $28m esports arena in Sandusky, while a multi-purpose performance and esports arena is set to rise in Toronto.
Linkcity is creating a mixed-use development in France with the ‘Scène Digitale’ esports hub. The digital hub will boast a 2,500-seat esports arena. The project will launch in phases between 2024 and 2029.
