New service will support training and development in the industry by creating a database of high-quality courses

IAAPA, the global association for the attractions industry, has shared details of its new Pre-Approved Provider Program. This scheme works to build links between educational providers and the attractions sector, supporting ongoing training and development opportunities for professionals working in this field.

IAAPA’s global education team is responsible for the rigorous development and management of the Pre-Approved Provider Program. The program endorses courses that align with IAAPA’s Common Body of Knowledge (CBoK) and follow best practices in continuing education, and so promotes consistency and excellence in the sector.

IAAPA Certified status

The program will help industry professionals to access high-quality training and development opportunities.

The IAAPA Pre-Approved Provider Programme makes sure that educational programmes adhere to the highest requirements for both the quality of their content and their delivery of teaching. Industry experts looking for continuing education will be put in touch with approved providers. Additionally, a provider’s courses may satisfy IAAPA Certified Attractions Professional (ICAP) and IAAPA Certified Attractions Executive (ICAE) continuing education requirements.

This supports certified professionals in keeping up to date with trends, innovations, and best practices. By developing the individuals, the IAAPA also adds value to the industry as a whole.

Pre-Approved Provider Program registry

A registry is currently being developed which will offer a central database of qualified courses. This will offer industry professionals a comprehensive and user-friendly resource, which will help them easily identify and select the most appropriate courses to advance their professional growth.

Alissa DeMeglio, senior manager of global certification programs for IAAPA, says: “We are thrilled to introduce our new Pre-Approved Provider Program, which exemplifies IAAPA’s dedication to fostering excellence and promoting ongoing education within the attractions industry.

“The program empowers industry professionals to access top-tier educational opportunities, enabling them to continuously upskill and excel in their careers. By offering a one-stop registry, we will make it simpler for certified industry professionals to explore and participate in courses that align with their goals.”

Educational institutions and training organisations must go through a rigorous review procedure in order to be pre-approved providers, guaranteeing the best possible course content and delivery. By joining this prestigious programme, providers can show that they are dedicated to advancing the attractions sector and fostering the professional development of its members.

IAAPA has opened registration for this year’s IAAPA Expo Europe, which will be taking place in Vienna, Austria. The event will take place in the Messe Wien Exhibition & Congress Center from 25 – 28 September with the trade show open from 26 – 28 September.
