Silver Dollar City adding new shows and a reimagined area

Silver Dollar City in Branson, Missouri is expanding its entertainment experiences for 2025, which include a new drone show and a redesigned area.

Starting with the new drone and fireworks spectacular, ‘Night Sky’ will debut next summer. The choreographed show features more than 100 drones that dance and light up in the skies.

Also coming to the theme park next summer is a Wild West-themed comedy stunt show, and the Silver Dollar Circus acrobatic experience.

Before the summer events debut, Silver Dollar City will offer a new festival in the spring. Called ‘Spring Exposition’, this includes new experiences, performances and F&B.

Silver Dollar City’s new area is called The Plaza. Described as a hub of fun and entertainment, it will double the size of the two-acre Grand Exposition area in 2025.

The park‘s redesigned space houses permanent shade structures, extra seating, and a new entertainment stage and food booths.

Returning to the park in 2025 is the ‘An Old Time Christmas’ experience, which will include a new stage production titled ‘The Heart of Christmas’.

Located in the Ozarks, Silver Dollar City is an 1880s-style park with 40 rides and attractions. It also offers world-class festivals and events.

World-class festivals and events

Brad Thomas, president of the Silver Dollar City Company, recently spoke to blooloop: “Each year, we review our festivals and events and continue to change and grow them. They change by season.

“We introduced a new event for spring 2024 that mixes entertainment with food, which is a key part of the DNA of most of our festivals.”

Earlier this year, Silver Dollar City opened Fire in the Hole – the largest indoor family coaster in the Midwest.

Made by Rocky Mountain Construction (RMC), a world-leading roller coaster manufacturer, the $30 million ride is Silver Dollar City’s largest investment in a single attraction to date.
