Universal Epic Universe, Universal Orlando’s highly anticipated new theme park, is opening to the public on 22 May 2025.
The launch date comes after a recent report in the Wall Street Journal that suggested a potential opening for Epic Universe as early as Memorial Day weekend. The report also said tickets for the new park could go on sale as soon as this month.
Epic Universe is billed as the most ambitious theme park ever created by Universal Destinations and Experiences, and a game changer for theme park entertainment.
The new park will offer more than 50 attractions and experiences across its five themed lands – Celestial Park, the Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Ministry of Magic, Super Nintendo World, How to Train Your Dragon – Isle of Berk and Dark Universe.
Anchoring the park is Universal Helios Grand Hotel, a 500-room property offering views of the park and with its own entrance to Epic Universe.
“This is such a pivotal moment for our destination, and we’re thrilled to welcome guests to Epic Universe next year,” said Karen Irwin, president and COO of Universal Orlando Resort.
“With the addition of this spectacular new theme park, our guests will embark on an unforgettable vacation experience with a week’s worth of thrills that will be nothing short of epic! Our universe will never be the same.”
Epic Universe tickets to go on sale
As for tickets to the theme park, various multi-day tickets and holiday packages will go on sale on 22 October. Reservations for Universal Helios Grand Hotel will also open on this date for stays beginning 22 May 2025.
Annual passholders can purchase single-day tickets to Universal Epic Universe from 24 October, before they go on sale to the public.
When Epic Universe opens, Universal Orlando will become a weeklong holiday destination with four theme parks and 11 hotels.
