MediaMation, Inc., a leader in immersion entertainment technology, has announced plans to install ‘Motion of the Ocean’, a 4D experience for a leading aquarium in Utah, US.
Since the aquarium opened in 2014, it has provided education to more than seven million visitors concerning the structure and protection required for diverse ecosystems from around the world. The Aquarium relies on a range of visual, audible and sensory mediums to help educate its audiences, including modern technologies such as 4D.
Immersive experience
The announcement follows the success of a previous installation by MMI which coincided with the aquarium’s opening. The brand-new attraction debuted with a 156-seat 4D EFX theatre, adding an immersive experience to the aquatic institution.
The MediaMation, Inc. (MMI) attraction will comprise two MotionFloors, sixty-four MX4D Motion EFX seats, and an immersive VR system.
A MediaMation representative says: “Loveland Living Planet Aquarium and MediaMation believe in entertainment and education for everyone who wants to take part in it. That is why two MotionFloors will be installed with subtle 4D effects for those with limited physical abilities.”
Suitable for everyone
The Motion EFX seats are designed to create an intimate learning environment for families and groups of friends, students and colleagues. The installation is comprehensively equipped with atmospheric theatre effects and seat effects, found in MMI’s patented MX4D armrest.
MediaMation adds: “The flexibility of effects settings is what makes the MotionFloor unique and versatile enough to fit into any attraction genre.
“With MotionFloors on each side of the benches, everyone of all capabilities can enjoy the films from all angles. You won’t want to miss these amazing films in a surreal MX4D experience.”
The attraction will open with two short films that explore notable ecosystems from around the world when it debuts in the third quarter of 2022.
Following the peak of the pandemic, MediaMation has vastly expanded its customer base in Europe, working with a range of clients in the theatre sector.
