The unique accommodation is now available to book, before welcoming visitors on March 3, 2021. It follows the recent launch of the Bear Grylls Explorers Camp.
The Bear Grylls Explorers Camp (BGEC) is run by experts trained at the Bear Grylls Survival Academy, and follows the success of the facility in the UK.
The camp will include nine recycled and redesigned containers when it opens, offering a natural setting for adventurers on the UAE’s highest mountain, Jebel Jais.

Alison Grinnell, CEO of RAK Hospitality Holding, said the accommodation “appeals to those who want to switch off, connect with nature and have an exhilarating outdoor experience away from the crowds”.
“This one-of-a-kind experience will further raise Ras Al Khaimah’s international profile while enhancing the Emirate’s expansive nature and adventure offering.”
Guests will enjoy basic self-catering facilities, including a private BBQ and private outdoor terrace. The cabins include plates, bowls, cutlery, mugs and toilet paper, while a shop selling amenities is available at the Bear Grylls Explorers Camp.
Bear Grylls Explorers Camp participants will learn practical and extreme survival techniques, with activities including learning how to use a knife, make a fire, and build emergency shelters.

Raki Philips, CEO of Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority (RAKTDA), said the camp “signifies not only another first, but an important step in strengthening Ras Al Khaimah’s recovery strategy and that of the UAE tourism industry as a whole”.
“We look forward to welcoming visitors locally and from around the world and providing them with a stunning setting in which to enjoy this amazing setting.”
Last year, RAKTDA launched the Jais Adventure Peak, a group of adventure attractions on Jebel Jais. XQuarry Adventure Park, the first off-road and adventure park in the UAE, recently opened in Sharjah.
