Disney Store is expanding its retail offering with new pop-up shopping spaces called Disney Store Limited Time, launching from May.
In collaboration with Go! Retail Group, Disney Store's limited-time retail destinations will bring Disney storytelling to life through in-person shopping experiences.
The initiative is kicking off with two retail spaces, one in Ross Park Mall in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and the second in Westfield Garden State Plaza Mall in Paramus, New Jersey.
The Pittsburgh location will open on 23 May, followed later this year by the New Jersey pop-up, which debuts in autumn 2026.
The new pop-up stores will sell authentic Disney merchandise while serving as spaces to celebrate Disney fandom.
"Filled with authentic Disney merchandise, unforgettable experiences, and a space to celebrate the fandom and wonder of Disney, these stores will carry on Disney Store’s mission to meet the fans where they’re at in an environment that reflects Disney Store’s creativity, storytelling, and quality," Disney said in a blog post.
There will be signature Disney Store touches and experiences, including opening ceremonies, immersive in-store designs, and exclusive products.
Themed retail experiences trend
From extending the visitor experience through to the gift shop to developing retail attractions in their own right, themed shopping experiences are becoming a key focus for attractions operators.
“Experiential retail and immersive experiences have evolved to the point that they get to be their own thing now,” Arik Lubkin, VP of experience design at CAMP, said at blooloop’s Festival of Innovation 2025.
