Acciona Cultura, a leading creator of technology-driven interactive museums, exhibits, and events, has announced more details ahead of NEXT IN Summit 2024, which will be taking place at the Acciona Campus in Madrid, Spain, from 24 – 25 April.

NEXT IN Summit 2024 will address the future of museums, architecture, design, technology, and sustainability. It is designed to connect museum directors, prominent architects and designers, cultural managers and programmers, and collection and exhibition curators.

Hear from experts & discuss meaningful topics

Over 40 speakers are participating in this cultural summit. This includes artists like Refik Anadol and Mario Klingeman; architects such as Paola Cattarin from Zaha Hadid, Frida Escobedo from Taller Frida Escobedo, Tatiana Bilbao from Tatiana Bilbao ESTUDIO, Jens Ritcher from estudio Herreros, Sumayya Vally from Counterspace, the director of the Biennale of Islamic Art, and Enrique Sobejano.

Attendees can also hear insights from designers including Gary Walker Kerr from Haley Sharpe Design, Shirin Brückner from Atelier Brückner, Femke Bijlsma from Kossmann Dejong, Patrick Gallagher from Gallagher & Associates and Nick Appelbaum from RAA. Plus, there will be representatives from Qatar Museums, Louvre Abu Dhabi, V&A, Misk Art Institute, Musées d’Orsay et de l’Orangerie, Grand Palais Immersif, and more.

During a combination of keynotes, roundtables and presentations, three key themes will be discussed. These are:

  • Latest trends: crafting meaningful missions for museums
  • Museums as catalysts for community engagement and positive change
  • The transformative power of storytelling: narratives and experiences

Within framework, sessions will explore subjects such as the application of immersive storytelling, augmented reality, AI, the influence of best practices, user experience innovation and more.
