Moongate Design Studio, a new international concept designer and development firm, is ready to make an impact on the ever-evolving entertainment economy.
With the statement “Artainment is here to stay,” Moongate Design Studio’s mission is to reimagine art and the relationship between the space and clients. The company is founded by former Universal Studio Japan executives Sol Song and David Newman, focusing on bringing new art and entertainment exhibits worldwide.
Song, Moongate co-founder and creative director, says: “Providing the same scale of joy and excitement has been tough since COVID-19. A major shift I have witnessed is the need for smaller experiences. In my eyes, the guest is the art. At Moongate, we hope to design exhibitions in a more approachable, timely, cost-efficient, and safe way.”
Helping create world-class experiences
The new company was conceptualised during the height of the pandemic. Moongate Design Studio believes that with the global crisis, visitors’ desire to experience world-class entertainment will not change. However, visits may be closer to home for the foreseeable future.
Moongate Design Studio features its own dedicated professional services division, developed to assist key clientele in achieving their design aspirations. The department helps support clients from the blue sky ideation stage through to schematic design.
The company has hand-selected a group of over twenty colleagues with a proven track record in the industry to help deliver innovative experiences worldwide. Its services include concept renderings, promotional art, 3D development and graphic design.
Fellow co-founder and managing director Newman says: “Service is at our company’s foundation. If Moongate Design Studio can help others achieve their goals, our company is honoured to be a part of the ride.”
Moongate Design Studio is currently planning for its first exhibition launch in 2024.
