Visitors will enjoy various Jujutsu Kaisen-themed experiences across the park.

Universal Studios Japan (USJ) is launching its first collaboration with Jujutsu Kaisen, a Japanese manga series, for a limited time starting on 16 September 2022.

Visitors will enjoy several experiences across the park as their favourite Jujutsu Kaisen characters “battle to saved the world from curses by using their powerful sorcery”, said USJ.

Jujutsu Kaisen is a manga series written and illustrated by Gege Akutami. It follows Yuji Itadori, a fictional character and the main protagonist.

The first Jujutsu Kaisen anime series was released in October 2020, and will be followed by the second season in 2023. The Jujutsu Kaisen 0 film made its debut in December 2021.

“Guests will be immersed in the ultra-realistic battle between the Jujutsu Sorcerer and a Cursed Spirit that unfolds in front of them,” according to a release.

“They will encounter the cursed energy and embody the strength of popular characters such as Yuji Itadori.”

Owned by Comcast NBCUniversal, Universal Studios Japan is located in Osaka. It is home to lands and attractions based on Harry Potter, as well as Jurassic Park and Minions.

Universal Studios Japan is the first Universal park in the world to offer a Super Nintendo World. The park is already expanding the land to include the world’s first Donkey Kong-themed area.

Universal Studios Japan has also launched an innovative new parade called ‘No Limit!’ featuring characters from Super Mario Bros. and Pokémon. It is Universal Studios Japan’s first collaboration with the Pokémon Company.
