Leading ticketing solutions provider, TopTix, has been chosen by the Sundance Institute to create a seamless customer experience for the iconic Sundance Film Festival.
The festival attracts 46, 000 visitors a year, all needing to purchase individual tickets, ticket packages, passes and credentials.
TopTix’ flexible SRO4 solution dovetails online ticketing with the festival’s mobile application which serves as a real-time reference guide for patrons, providing screening locations. The app also manages the festival’s e-waitlist system.
“We were looking for a system that could scale with us to accommodate the unique needs of all of our constituents and provide a seamless purchase experience for the Sundance Film Festival, ” explained Linda Pfafflin, Sundance Institute’s Associate Director of Ticketing. “We really liked the flexibility and configurability of SRO4 and its ability to handle a large volume of concurrent customer transactions.”
TopTix was awarded the contract following a rigorous selection process. Sundance Institute started working with the company back in June, mapping out workflow for box office and online transactions, member registration, and future integration with the Festival mobile app—using SRO’s open API.

The online box-office has now opened for the purchase of festival passes and ticket packages.
