Wonderscope Children’s Museum is planning a $12 million move to south Kansas City.

The new location in the Red Bridge Shopping Center will be shared with the Mid-Continent Public Library.

Wonderscope are kicking off a capital campaign to raise the money for the state-of-the-art new facility.

Fox 4 News reports that  Roxanne Hill, the executive director of the museum, has a grander vision:

“When you look at our neighboring cities they all have these vibrant children’s museum that have plenty of space and state-of-the-art-exhibits.  That’s what we are going to do. That’s what we’re going to build, so it is an exciting time. Yes we are moving, but we’re getting something that’s going to be phenomenal for Kansas City.”
