UK-based charity Gallery Climate Coalition is hosting a screening of the People's Emergency Briefing at the Tate Modern in London next month.
The film will be shown as part of an event exploring the art and culture sector's response to the climate and nature crisis.
The event will take place on 18 November between 9.45am and 12pm, beginning with the screening of the People's Emergency Briefing.
The 50-minute film brings together leading experts to explore the risks the climate and nature crisis poses to the UK, from food security and public health to national security, and the urgent action needed to address them.
After the screening, Gallery Climate Coalition (GCC) will host a panel discussion looking at positive tipping points and considering how the visual arts can build momentum towards a more sustainable future.
The conversation will feature Peter Lefort of Exeter University and Heather Ackroyd, artist and environmental campaigner, joined by Frances Morris, chair of GCC, as moderator.
The event is intended for people working across the visual arts, including artists, galleries, museums, arts organisations and cultural practitioners.
Positive tipping points
Attendance to the event at Tate Modern is free, but advance booking is essential.
Following the record-breaking heat experienced across the UK this summer, concerns are growing about the health risks associated with rising temperatures and extreme weather, as well as the significant challenges these conditions pose for visitor attractions.
blooloop hosted a free online screening of the People's Emergency Briefing for the visitor attractions community earlier this year. Marwell Wildlife has also shown the film.
