Pico Play, a global leader in planning, designing, developing, and constructing world-class themed attractions and entertainment, has reached another milestone in its mission to deliver exceptional themed environments worldwide, with the official opening of an expanded theming fabrication facility in Hai Phong, Vietnam.

Situated in the vibrant city of Hai Phong, the factory covers nearly 14,000 square metres, accommodating a comprehensive range of fabrication skills, including sculpting, moulding, carpentry, painting, metalwork, and finishing.

This expansion enables Pico Play Vietnam to better serve increasing global customer demands and to achieve higher levels of quality, safety, and efficiency in project delivery.

An international mindset

The launch event began with an opening speech from Darren McLean, executive director, alongside guests, partners, and team members, all celebrating Pico Play’s ongoing growth and dedication to international excellence.

After the ceremony, everyone took a guided tour of the new facility, witnessing the creative and technical process behind themed fabrication, from initial design sketches to the final details.

The factory serves not only as a production space but also as a collaborative hub for creativity and partnership. It includes dedicated zones for client visits, design reviews, and project showcases, allowing customers to observe directly the craftsmanship and passion involved in every Pico Play project.

Oliver Dinh, factory manager of Pico Play Vietnam, says:

“Our team takes huge pride in every piece we create. This new space gives us the tools, the energy and the room to dream even bigger – to make more creative and complex projects for our clients all around the world.”

Manufacturing off-site in Vietnam also promotes sustainability by reducing material waste, decreasing on-site disruption, and lowering the overall carbon footprint through efficient production and transportation.

Reflecting on the milestone, McLean says: “This facility is more than expansion, it’s a reflection of our international mindset. When local talent is given the right environment and belief, they can truly deliver world-class results.”

This is just one of three cutting-edge Pico Play facilities, with others located in Johor, Malaysia, and Al-Kharj, Saudi Arabia, which marked its first anniversary in September. As Pico Play expands globally, the Hai Phong facility exemplifies its dedication to innovation, craftsmanship, and collaboration, creating themed experiences that inspire worldwide.
