Yin-tai shopping mall's IN SPORTS offering has been envisioned as a '‘leisure shopping paradise‘. The retail experience has been enhanced with a range of attractions including Clip ‘n Climb challenges, artificial caves and augmented reality climbing walls. In setting this new Guinness World Record, IN SPORTS created a huge media buzz which it hopes will help to position climbing as a fun and 'of the moment' sport for Chinese people. ‘They showed a great team-spirit and worked together to complete the final Challenge mission,' reports the delighted Clip ‘n Climb team in China. This is the first time that a Guinness World Record has been set in a Clip 'n Climb facility. The company hopes it will be the first of many more. Clip ‘n Climb offers over 30 climbing challenges and provides active entertainment for the whole family. Everyone from age 4 and upwards can take part, thanks to the use of TRUBLUE auto belay devices which help to makes climbing easy, reassuring and fun. The system also allows everyone to challenge themselves and still say safe. The Clip ‘n Climb concept was invented in Christchurch, New Zealand by John Targett and Tim Wethey, with the first centre opening there in 2005. It was an instant hit. The brand is now the international market leader with production units in New Zealand and England.
