MAPIC Award finalists announced for Best Leisure Concept

The announcement comes ahead of LeisurUp by Mapic, held in the south of France this winter

RX France, the organiser of MAPIC, has announced nominees for the Best Leisure Concept awards ahead of its conference next week.

As retailers and developers are continually searching for fresh ways to draw customers to their stores and shopping centres, new leisure concepts are innovative approaches to increasing traffic by incorporating leisure into the retail mix.

“This category recognises the most successful entertainment concept and its integration in a point of sale in order to offer a unique and fun shopping experience and generate sustainable long-term profits,” says a representative for the judging panel.

Criteria for the award include selection sales per square metre, traffic of visitors, traffic evolution, number of openings of the leisure concept per country, number of openings the leisure concept planned for the next 2 years per country, and the originality of the concept.
