Merlin Entertainments has submitted plans for a new adventure attraction at the National Exhibition Centre (NEC).

The 145,000 sq ft attraction – currently called Project Thor – will be partially indoors and potentially include a sky diving experience and high ropes course.

Documents have been submitted to Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council on behalf of Merlin Attractions Operations Ltd to change the use of the NEC’s Pavilion building to create the adventure-themed attraction.

The total investment value of the development is estimated to be between £15m and £20m.
