7thSense, the multi-award-winning media solutions specialist, has announced that it has appointed Erik Iversen as senior product manager for pixel processing products. Iversen joins 7thSense from Barco, where his most recent position was product manager for image processing. He had been with the company since 2005, working in a variety of customer-facing roles.
Iversen initially began his career as a lighting designer in 1991, before going on to freelance as a video engineer and projectionist and then founding his own production company. He has worked on a number of high-profile corporate events and has toured the globe with famous musicians.
Show experience & industry knowledge
“7thSense has a company-wide focus on customer success,” says Iversen. “When customers bring their most challenging projects, the whole team jumps in to find the customer a great solution. There is a genuine passion for customers success and support. I really appreciate the team’s ability to create innovative systems that can be customised to solve any challenge.
“The mix of 7thSense media servers, Medialon show control solutions, and Juggler pixel processors is a combination that is truly unique in the industry. I am really looking forward to creating some amazing systems with this great technology and inspired team!”
John Higgins, Director of Product Development at 7thSense adds, “We are very excited to bring Erik on board with his vast show experience, knowledge of the industry, and history with hardware-based pixel processing technologies. Juggler, like all of our products, is very flexible but adds the additional performance of a hardware-based processing pipeline.
“The core product can be tailored as required to create a bespoke offering for our customer’s projects. Erik is a great addition to our growing team and will be invaluable in ensuring that we maintain our focus on providing the most innovative products to the most exciting projects.”
Juggler is available as a stand-alone product or as an extension to the capabilities of the 7thSense GPU-based Media Servers. Its hardware-based processing provides ultra-low latency scaling, cropping, conversion, warping, and pixel mapping.
Last year, 7thSense helped deliver a socially distanced drive-in Van Gogh exhibit, thanks to its Medialon Showmaster LE show control system
