Christie Digital Systems, global visual and audio technologies company, teamed up with RP Visual Solutions (RPV) and HB Communications to create the world’s largest LED Video wall at the Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino.
The 20ft high curved array, which dominates the Westgate Superbook, comprises 1, 640 2.5mm Christie® Velvet® LED tiles totalling over 65 million pixels.
“To say it’s large is a giant understatement, ” observes RPV’s President Randy Pagnan. “Partnering with HB and Christie to design this project is a huge honour. We knew that we had to exceed their expectations as well as Westgate’s to make this one-of-a kind fan experience a huge success.”
The new video wall is the centrepiece of the redeveloped facility which now provides guests with a ‘stadium-like experience’.
Christie’s vice president, global & corporate marketing, Kathryn Cress confirmed that Christie Velvet was the perfect solution for the venue: “Westgate has raised the bar and we’re proud to work with them to make this project a reality.”
The array, designed to operate 24/7, delivers high-resolution, bright and seamless visuals with wide viewing angles. A clear benefit of Christie’s tiles is that they can be configured into any size or shape, offering virtually limitless possibilities.
