Connect&GO, a leader in RFID solutions for the leisure, sports and attractions industry, has announced its acquisition of Dator Inc., which provides management and operations software for the leisure and attractions industries.

Dator’s portfolio includes a ticketing system, point of sale system, activity management platform, and restaurant management software. It also has a hospitality and property management system, rental and inventory module, loyalty platform, and ski school software.

Dator has worked with Oxford Properties, an indoor amusement park in Québec, as well as Park Safari, the Saint-Félicien Zoo, Ubisoft, and various ski resorts in Canada.

Dominic Gagnon, Co-Founder of Connect&GO, said: “The Dator ecosystem will be a powerful addition to our offering at Connect&GO.”

“After reviewing a number of potential acquisitions, we found the Dator software to be the most complete solution, and the most complementary option on the market.”

Connect&GO will now add nearly 20 professionals from Dator to its team. The company also hopes to create around 30 additional positions, and has raised more than $6 million to fund its expansion.

Anthony Palermo, Co-Founder of Connect&GO, added: “With this new acquisition, Connect&GO can offer a complete solution that responds directly to our clients’ needs as we continue to expand in international markets.

“We will be one of the only companies in the world to offer a strong expertise in both operation and management software as well as robust hardware with our contact-less ski portals and our self-serve RFID wristband/card dispensers.”

Over the past year, Connect&GO has increased its offering for the ski resort industry by introducing the customisable Ski&GO platform, a RFID solution.

Ski&GO has been put into action at various ski resorts for the 2019 to 2020 season, while Connect&GO has signed major contracts with Hasbro, Lake Elsinore, and the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Last month, Connect&GO revealed it was exploring the benefits of RFID technology to increase visitor engagement at zoos and aquariums. In addition, the company’s RFID wristbands will also be used at the Olympic and Paralympic Games in Tokyo in August 2020.

Connect&GO will be attending the IAAPA 2019 Paris conference this September.
