Embed, a leading worldwide supplier of point-of-sale and revenue management systems, is celebrating the appointment of new global leadership and an expanded team.
The announcements come ahead of the firm’s attendance at IAAPA Expo, which is taking place from 13-17 November in Orlando. Here, Embed plans to unveil groundbreaking projects which will be led by the new team.
Renee Welsh, CEO at Embed, says: “We are proud to reveal the Embed Mavericks who will champion customer success across our global operations. They are committed to further strengthening Embed’s customer-centric approach, developing transformative programs that drive our customers’ growth velocity. These programs will be announced and featured at IAAPA Expo Orlando.”
Welcoming a new team
Kash Ahmad, previously chief management consultant, is now the global head of sales. Michael Lopez has been appointed Embed’s general manager for North America and South America, in addition to his responsibilities as chief experience officer. Both will work out of Embed’s office in Dallas.
Current chief marketing officer Sara Paz moves to Embed’s Dallas office as transformation guru, managing a dedicated team of consultants, champions, and trainers comprised of growth gurus, SaaS experts, and payment specialists.
Paz comments: “This transformation growth team is a demonstration of Embed’s unwavering commitment to future-proofing our customers’ businesses. They will bring their individual expertise to help customers maximise their Embed system to drive transformative growth.”

Gareth Grandt, and Joshua Chappell
The transformation growth team comprises:
- Jeremy Dickamore. Embed’s payment gateway expert, Dickamore has nearly ten years of experience in the payments sector. He was previously senior strategic partner manager at Global Payments Integrated (GPI), and he won the award for Best Partner in 2022 for a billion-dollar partnership he headed up. He has worked with Embed for many years and is now joining the team to help the firm’s customers understand payments, determine how much they’re currently losing due to payment processing fees, and discover the most beneficial processing value to save time and money.
- Austen Ward. Ward has spent over ten years in customer success management and business development roles in the SaaS industry, tech, and beyond. She is now a trusted partner, consultant, and champion for the Embed family of customers, assisting them in driving revolutionary business growth by leveraging their Embed solution, resulting in increased profitability with decreased staff costs.
- Jed Hazlett. Success ambassador Hazlett has over 15 years of expertise in supporting businesses, ranging from small to Fortune 1000, in the selection, implementation, and optimisation of software and data solutions. He will concentrate on assisting Embed customers in driving revenue and growth while improving operational efficiency through Embed’s SaaS solutions.
- Keelan Power. Power has almost ten years of management expertise in a variety of businesses, including family entertainment. He will help customers to get the greatest benefit from their Embed solutions. With his help, these customers will grow and scale their businesses through a personalised 1:1 training programme.
- Gareth Grandt. Field Force manager Grandt offers two decades of experience in training implementation and support positions as Training Programme Manager of a global facilitation programme at Apple. He will be in charge of Embed’s new Field Force programme.
- Joshua Chappell. Field Force trainer Chappell previously worked at Microsoft as a customer success training manager, where his strategic projects resulted in a 17% increase in customer satisfaction and a 14% decrease in customer churn rate across a portfolio of more than 50 enterprise-level accounts, earning him the Microsoft MVP award for four years in a row. Chappell has collaborated with Grandt on an innovative programme that will be announced at IAAPA.
Megan Lim, Embed’s new eCommerce director and member of the transformation growth team, has been developing the Embed eShop. Lim joined Embed in June 2023, and has been focused on improving the speed of service, purchase, and replacement of hardware components and accessories.
Lim’s expertise in creating and managing multiple online and offline businesses makes her the driving force behind the expansion of the Embed eShop’s inventory, the launch of 24/7 support, the introduction of the chat function, 1Click Payment Link, and others. She is also broadening her reach to include global clients, reducing the parts ordering and replacement process to three quick and simple steps.
IAAPA Expo Orlando
Embed is preparing for IAAPA Expo 2023 where it will announce exciting additions to its groundbreaking range. These announcements will support the firm’s entrance into the membership economy, where its clients become part of an innovative community known as the ‘Embed Family’.
Welsh says: “The Embed family can expect a life-changing game-changer at the show – the answer to a lack of a structured and consistent customer success activity in the industry. The booth itself is another ‘big’ surprise! And we simply can’t wait for the Embed Family to experience it.”
Embed’s new booth embraces digital solutions and will exemplify best practices for sustainable exhibits.
Kathleen Goy, global head of events and marketing chief of staff, comments: “We are going digital for our brochures and collaterals to minimise our carbon footprint, all content is accessible via QR code, as well as making the booth modular – giving us the flexibility to switch booth size, scale, and designs without wasting resources.”
Welsh adds: “We will also recognise the stars skyrocketing the FEC industry into the future – Embed’s first-ever Top 100 FECs list! It’s a catalogue of businesses across the globe that vary wildly in size, number of locations, and type of FEC, but share ONE thing in common: they are the most admired and respected in the industry.”
Representatives from Embed will be at IAAPA Expo Orlando from 14 to 17 November at booth 1040. The firm will be giving free demonstrations of its integrated hardware and software solutions such as the Mobile Wallet, STATS, smartTOUCH+, KIOSK+, and TOOLKIT suite, as well as a sharing its showcase of game cards and wearable media at the Bling Trunk. Happy hour events will take place daily from 1pm until 5pm. Delegates are invited to book a meeting with the CEO, Renee Welsh, by clicking here.
The firm is holding a press conference on its launches and the Top 100 FECs at its booth on 14 November.
Embed recently revealed the industry’s first-ever Top 100 FECs list ahead of the IAAPA Expo. The company is committed to supporting its customers and celebrating their successes and has a nuanced understanding of the part that each business plays in building a successful sector.
