Kraftwerk Living Technologies Wins InAVation Award for 5D Castle Theatre, Chimelong

Leaders in audio-visual system integration, Kraftwerk Living Technologies has won “Most InAVative International Project” for its role in the installation of the 5D Castle Theatre at Chimelong Ocean Kingdom.

Over 600 AV industry experts attended the event in Amsterdam which honoured innovative products, tools and projects in the EMEA region and around the world.

Christian Hofer, Managing Partner and Technical Director at Kraftwerk Living Technologies, accepted the award on behalf of the whole team and said: “We are very proud and happy to have received these accolades and would like to share it with everyone involved in this record-breaking attraction.”

Chimelong’s 5D Castle Theatre is a record-breaking installation featuring 1000 4D seats, the largest number in a single venue. Both its vast 3D screen, measuring 88-metres wide and 18-metres high and the size of its 3D projection have been recognised as Guinness World Records.

Needless to say, it also boasts the largest cinema audio system in the world with a total of 2, 119 Meyer Sound loudspeakers and a projection system with 12 Christie D4K3560 Projectors. The show control, video playback, auto alignment and server system was designed and engineered in Austria by high-tech specialist Brainsalt Media.

Kraftwerk Living Technologies was chosen by Chimelong as the design-build vendor for the project including 4D motion seats, projection system, screen, audio system, in-theater special effects, show lighting and control systems. The two companies had previously collaborated on the park’s Deep Sea Odyssey.
