Magic Memories to Provide Attraction Photography for Melbourne Star Observation Wheel

News

Magic Memories, the New Zealand based company with a mission to turn the worldwide attraction photography business on its head, are to partner with the Melbourne Star Observation Wheel to provide visitors with a special photographic souvenir of their Star experience.

The new Melbourne Star Observation wheel, set to open in late December 2013, will be the only giant observation wheel in the Southern Hemisphere.  The solid steel wheel, the most complex design of this size in the world, will stand 120 metres high affording views of up to 40 kilometres during the 30 minute ride.

The Melbourne Star is owned by Sanoyas Rides Australia Pty Ltd and managed by the Melbourne Star Management Group.

Melbourne Star Management Group CEO, Chris Kelly, said, “Melbourne Star will be a unique and important tourism landmark for Melbourne and our focus has been on developing a memorable and comprehensive guest experience.  Magic Memories will be a key part of this.

“Magic Memories thinks and behaves like a tourism company and understands that the guest experience is everything.  It is a valuable addition to the Melbourne Star experience.”

Founded in New Zealand in 1995, Magic Memories currently partners with more than 100 major tourism attractions around the world to offer unique photographic memories of tourism experiences.

The partnership between Magic Memories and the Melbourne Star will give guests the option of a customised photo book containing three high quality photographs and a card enabling an online download of their visit.  Magic Memories photo books blend relevant content and personal imagery to create a high quality personalized story that the customers just cannot replicate themselves.

Magic Memories CEO, John Wikstrom, said, “We are delighted to partner with the Melbourne Star Observation Wheel.  The Melbourne Star’s core focus is on the guest experience and we have been working closely together to put in place an outstanding mix of people, products and processes to ensure every Melbourne Star guest leaves with a special memory they are motivated to share with friends and family.

“Personally, I can’t wait to take the family for a flight on Melbourne Star.”
