Leading technology innovator, Nolan Bushnell, is joining the Board of Perrone Robotics Inc.
The founder of Atari, and inventor of well-known game ‘Pong’, was recently named by Newsweek as one of the “50 Men Who Changed America.”
Lately, he has been involved in the development of immersive technologies with his company, Modal VR.
Paul Perrone, CEO and founder of Perrone Robotics, praised Bushnell’s wisdom and knowledge around innovation, business, and robotics.
Bushnell investigated the concept of robots as everyday helpers back in the 1980s with his Androbot company. But, the technology had yet to catch up with his ideas.
“Perrone Robotics has solved so many of the problems that frustrated me with Androbot, ” he said. “Clearly, they can scale all the way up to autonomously driving an automobile, and I’m interested to see where else we can apply this technology.”
A serial entrepreneur, Bushnell has founded a raft of technology companies as well as the family restaurant chain, Chuck E. Cheese’s, which he launched in 1976.
