Scheme will benefit Saudi customers

Semnox Solutions, a provider of technology for the entertainment and amusement industry, has upgraded its invoicing systems to meet new standards required for certain clients in the Middle East.

Amusement parks, arcades and entertainment centres in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) will benefit from an upgrade to e-invoicing compliance, the Saudi government’s newly implemented scheme required for all taxpayers subject to VAT from 4 December 2021.

Semnox’s new e-invoicing integration is fully compliant with KSA regulations put in place as per the ZATCA guidelines with the QR code in Base64 encoding. Semnox has successfully upgraded thirteen attractions in the region, with zero downtime for clients.

The company is now preparing for phase two of the digital invoicing programme, which is planned to be incorporated from 1 January 2023.

Meeting changing requirements

Semnox says its continued focus on customer service, innovation, and adapting to future needs of the industry has kept the firm at the forefront of operations, ensuring the company’s products are continually sought-after by FECs and parks around the world.

Business head for Europe, the Middle East and Africa Vinayaka Kamath, says “Semnox is happy to announce that our products support the newly implemented e-invoicing regulations put forward by the government of KSA.

“Being a complete solution provider, we believe that it is important for us to scale up to provide for the changing requirements of the venues without impacting the business operations, and we have been able to achieve this.”

Semnox’s solutions are used by more than 2200 FECs and 200 parks worldwide. RFID-based cashless and ticketing solutions offered by the company include self-service kiosks, POS machines, wearable tech, queue-free solutions and wireless cards with readers.

The firm’s technology has recently been utilised at India’s new Thrill City amusement park, which opened to guests on 10 September 2021 with the company’s upgraded control gate, readers and POS systems.
