The Al Montazah Waterpark, Sharjah has announced a second development phase including new water rides.
The Sharjah Investment and Development Authority (Shurooq)laid out plans in 2012 for Al Montazah in 2012, creating an integrated amusement centre with a theme park, play and adventure attractions as well as emirate's first water-themed park.The enhancements to Al Montazah are in line withShurooq's vision to increase inbound tourism by creatingworld-class destinations.
The waterpark is expected to reopen this summer.
The Khaleej Times reports that Khalid Ibrahim Al Qaseer, manager of Al Montazah, said, "We promise visitors and vacationers an exceptional leisure and entertainment experience by the summer of 2017. The new facility will see a paradigm shift in the quality of services we will deliver. Our main aim is to significantly enhance visitor ease, accessibility and safety, especially for our young guests who we consider our most valued customers."
