In addition to supply of hardware, overseen by AAV’s Technical Director Tony Clynick, AAV conceived, created and produced five video programs and programmed all hardware to include the fountain system.

The five multimedia shows, conceived and directed by AAV’s Creative Director Isaac Kumer, included a Poetry show, Variety show, Children’s show, City show, and the main show, The Heart Beats Of Sharjah. The main show was created to be a story about the past present and future of Sharjah.

A documentary styled script in English and Arabic was written and recorded by more than 20 professional local voice-over artists to help bring the story alive in each of its receptive scenes.

A water stage was created to allow performers and actors to appear as though they were actually on the water. Over 10 different acts were casted and filmed over 3 nights. More than 50 people played a role in this production.

An Arabian horse and a white falcon were required to be filmed in the story. Shot at night on a beach location in Sharjah, a specialized helium balloon lighting system and the film crew took on the task to capture the horse’s performance on the shoreline.

3D animation was used to create props and special effects along with rendering local historical landmarks and monuments.

An original music score was composed to help realize the motivation of each of the different stories told in first person, reflecting on the past, present and future of Sharjah.

Once the video content was edited and ready, AAV’s fountain and laser programmers, Rupert Morse and Tara Cox, began to create different scenes to support and enhance the shows elements and narrative.

The result is a monumental showcase that inspires and entertains all audiences.

His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, congratulated the Shurooq development authority and commented “it’s a proud day for Sharjah” at the Royal Opening of the Fountains in Al Majaz Park.

The shows run nightly and are now a main attraction in Sharjah.
