CAVU Designwerks, creators of next-generation media-based attractions, is showcasing two brand new rides this week at the IAAPA Asian Attractions Expo (AAE) in Shanghai, China.
Power Glider™ is a suspended, powered dark ride coaster and CircuMotion® is a fully immersive, motion-based dome theatre.
Developed in partnership with Falcon’s Creative Group and Kraftwerk Living Technologies, CircuMotion® is a motion-base platform within a dome-shaped theatre that delivers 2D or 3D 360°media content.
Unlike a traditional theatre, CircuMotion® guarantees guests a fully immersive experience and the best possible view no matter where they’re sitting.
“The unique guest arrangement of CircuMotion® will open up possibilities in the realm of storytelling and bringing guests closer than ever to a fully immersive experience, ” explained Peter Schnabel, CEO of CAVU Designwerks.
Under the terms of the exclusive arrangement between the three companies, Falcon's will be the attraction designer, media provider and executive producer of the attraction. CAVU will deliver a safe and state of the art ride system while Kraftwerk Living Technologies will provide audio/visual technology, equipment, and systems integration.
CAVU’s Power Glider™ system is a suspended, powered, spinning coaster that delivers a family-friendly aerial tour through an elaborately themed and/or media rich environment.
The ride system consists of a number of 3-vehicle trains suspended from a common track. Each self-powered vehicle carries 4 riders. The spinning seating module delivers a 360° view of the environment.
