Heather Blair, Head Of Cinema Sales at MediaMation Inc. (MMI), has been named one of the Top 50 Women in Global Cinema by Celluloid Junkie.

Heather Blair - mediamation MMICelluloid Junkie, a leading online resource dedicated to the global film and cinema business, published the ‘one to watch’ list in its March issue.

The list recognises the key role female leaders play in cinema operations both large and small, as well as in related fields all over the globe. It also highlights the importance of promoting gender equality throughout the industry, especially when it comes to senior leadership roles.

“Cinema business is tough but rewarding,” acknowledges Heather Blair. “To be included in the Top 50 Women in Global Cinema is a tremendous honour.”

When Blair joined MMI, the company had a long track record of building 4D immersive attractions and theatres for theme parks, but lacked presence in the cinema space. Since then, she has been instrumental in convincing existing auditoriums to convert to MX4D theatres with motion seats and environmental effects. MMI has currently installed over 300 theatres worldwide.
