Dubai Parks and Resorts LLC, a Meraas Holding company, have announced a DreamWorks Animation Zone for motiongate™ Dubai in Jebel Ali.
Yoshi Maruyama, Head of Location Based Entertainment for DreamWorks Animation said that the company was “thrilled to bring our popular characters and stories through immersive experiences to families in the Middle East.”
motiongate™ Dubai is a four million square feet Hollywood-inspired theme park which is part of Phase 1 of the Dubai Parks and Resorts development. Expected to open in 2016, Phase 1 of the Dubai Parks and Resorts will comprise three theme parks: motiongate™ Dubai, Bollywood Parks™ Dubai, and LEGOLAND® Dubai as well as Riverpark (a grand entrance plaza) and Lapita (a family themed hotel).
motiongate™ Dubai, expected to attract three million visitors a year, will comprise four zones with a total of 27 attractions, as well as retail, dining and entertainment .
The DreamWorks Animation Zone will include 12 themed attractions and rides together with retail and dining outlets.
