News

Clownin’ Around, Pan Amusements new midway water game, is proving to be a success with SEGA, who have taken delivery of 15 machines with further orders due, having already secured the worldwide distribution rights.

Paul Whittaker, Managing Director of Pan Amusements, known worldwide for their electronic shooting galleries, acknowledged the links with SEGA and their sales force, saying that they have been “an incredible boost to our games business as well as our new compact shooting galleries.”

Pan Amusements have designed Clownin’ Around, their latest water game, for attractions such as small theme parks, FEC’s and amusement arcades where it has already proved to be very popular and a great revenue driver.  The objective of the game is to force balls up a play field by means of a water jet.  The balls then fall down holes, which in turn move the clown’s body on the background, with the winner being the first person to get the clown to the top.

Whittaker comments, “There is a tendency amongst venues these days for smaller attractions with a fast payback time. We have responded to this with smaller compact galleries and Clownin’ Around.

The key is to regularly introduce new themes into a successful format whilst maintaining high build standards.”
