Compagnie des Alpes (CDA) has sold Fort Fun amusement park in Germany to Looping Group for €7 million.

Looping operates 12 sites across Europe, including amusement parks, water parks, wildlife
parks and aquariums and is owned by Ergon Capital Partners III S.A.

The sale of the theme park is in line with CDA’s corporate strategy to focus on sites that they feel they can bring up to Very High Customer Satisfaction levels and that will enhance their portfolio.  The aim of this strategy is to consolidate Compagnie des Alpes’ position as a major French leisure champion and to develop into a major player in global consolidation.

In 2015/16 Fort Fun welcomed 265,000 visitors, and generated revenue of €5.9 million.

The cash transaction must still gain the approval of the German competition authorities.
