Networking opportunities await attendees

IAAPA, the global association for the attractions industry, has announced a series of conferences and a new networking initiative in the lead-up to this month’s IAAPA Expo.

IAAPA Expo, a leading international event for the worldwide attraction business, will soon get underway on Monday 14 November at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida. The trade show has approximately 1,100 exhibitors spread across more than 500,000 square feet of display areas, which is a 25% increase from 2021.

Industry updates

More than thirty press conferences are set to be held on the trade exhibition floor at IAAPA Expo 2022, heralding a significant return of product development, park expansions, and general news within the worldwide attractions business, again, an increase on the twenty-four press briefings featured last year.

IAAPA operating members holding press conferences include Adventureland Resort, Cedar Point, Dollywood Parks & Resorts, Hersheypark, ICON Park, Lotte World (with Triotech), Ripley’s Believe It or Not! and SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment (with Intamin and Holovis).

Manufacturers and suppliers also making announcements include Aquatic Development Group, DOF Robotics, Embed, Extreme Engineering, Inowize, nWave Pictures, Storyland Studios, Valo Motion, Vekoma Rides, WhiteWater and Zamperla, alongside IAAPA itself.

Connect and network

In addition, the organisation has introduced IAAPA Connect+ Marketplace, a year-round online marketplace where members may interact with buyers and sellers from across the globe.

Members can connect and network with other professionals in the sector through the new service which acts as a virtual directory. Now, using their smartphone or online browser, attraction professionals may discover a provider for any need, whenever they need one.

As a perk of membership, manufacturers and suppliers have access to the Marketplace with a basic listing, with the opportunity to upgrade to an enhanced marketplace listing for a fee. Suppliers will be able to meet 1:1 with potential customers via the video chat feature, personalise their profiles with a company logo or video, promote their goods and services, monitor profile interaction, access useful resources, and more with an improved marketplace listing.

Manufacturers and suppliers can contact IAAPA’s global sales team for more information or sponsorship opportunities by email. IAAPA Connect+ can be downloaded free of charge from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.

Connect+ will also serve as the digital platform for events including IAAPA Expos, regional events and summits, providing access to agendas, exhibiting companies, session speakers, and show floor maps.
