Kraftwerk Living Technologies, in partnership with Christie Digital, has won ‘Best Entertainment Venue’ at the prestigious AV Awards for Chimelong Ocean Kingdom’s 5D Castle Theatre.
12 Christie D4K3560 projectors deliver almost 22 million pixels to the 1, 500 square metre curved screen at the world’s largest 5D theatre.
Working with Chimelong’s own designers, Christie experts and Sha Xiaolan – chief lighting designer for the Beijing Olympics – Kraftwerk Living Technologies led the technical design, planning, supply, programming and commissioning for the record-breaking venue.
The on-screen action is brought to life by Christie projectors delivering the largest stereoscopic 3D projection in the world.
Christie’s TruLife electronics platform gives the D4K3560 projector 1.2 gigapixels a second of pin-sharp performance – almost ten times the speed of a standard high-definition projector.
The ‘Best Entertainment Venue’ award recognises the attention to detail applied by Kraftwerk Living Technologies’ to all aspects of the project including every water spray, wind blast, scent and strobe light – and the 3D Movie itself– to create a state-of-the art, fully immersive, story-telling experience.
