The London Resort, which is set to launch in 2024, says it is making progress and moving ahead with plans for consultation, public documents, and local engagement.
The London Resort has taken four major steps in its preparation to submit proposals later this year, despite the disruption caused by coronavirus.
The attraction has confirmed proposals for a late summer or early autumn public consultation, which will include online and virtual engagement.
It has submitted a draft Statement of Community Consultation to local authorities, and is proposing public consultation in August and September, prior to a planning submission before the end of 2020.

In addition, the London Resort has confirmed the submission of a 300-page Environmental Scoping Report by June 12.
This includes detailed information on how the London Resort will test and assess impacts of the proposals, including heritage, flooding, noise, transport strategy and economic impacts.
It has also contacted advisors of affected local businesses and set out terms for the acquisition of land, including an additional premium.
Finally, the London Resort has written to the Community Liaison Group to help share information about the theme park project.
Six themed lands make up the London Resort

“The team have been immense, working incredibly hard during these awful times,” said PY Gerbeau, chief executive of the London Resort.
“I joined just under a year ago and we are always being asked to hurry up. Well, I am happy to tell you we have made strong progress and these reports are hugely important.
“This is a significant step in transforming an amazing and ambitious dream into reality.”
Gerbeau added: “We obviously can’t hold a public consultation in the normal way – but we will make sure we reach out to local residents and businesses as well as the wider community and stakeholders.

“We are talking to government about how we will be using digital technology, websites, video conferences and online question and answer sessions.”
The London Resort is one of Europe’s most ambitious theme park projects. It will be the first development to be built from scratch since Disneyland Paris.
The London Resort previously offered a first look at the upcoming theme park in concept artwork, and unveiled its six themed lands, as announced by PY Gerbeau at blooloopLIVE.
The first gate is set to open in 2024, and a second gate it expected to open by 2029.
