Lotte Group’s $2.6 Billion China Theme Park Project Halted

News

The Chinese Government has put the brakes on Lotte Group’s $2.6 billion theme park project in north-eastern China, reports Bloomberg.

The news comes amid increasing tensions surrounding South Korea’s decision to push ahead with the deployment of a U.S. missile shield.

In November, the Chinese government reportedly carried out safety and tax inspections on the Korean conglomerate’s stores in China.

Lotte hopes to be allowed to restart construction at the Shenyang site in March.
