Interactive technology provider and motion effects specialist, MediaMation, has appointed Ravi Shankar to head up the company’s Attractions Division.

This latest hiring reflects the company’s continued growth as it expands into new domestic and foreign markets and accelerates production/installation of its MX4D® Motion EFX seats and technology for the attractions and cinema industries.
“Going forward, I will be managing MMI’s attractions projects from inception to completion, ” comments Shankar. “The ultimate goal is to create an excellent experience for the client through every aspect of the process.”
As the former VP of Operations at Edwards Technologies Inc., Shankar is an industry veteran with considerable experience in managing projects for theme parks, retailers, restaurants, casinos, and other attractions.
His new responsibilities include overseeing project managers, streamlining processes, “greenlighting” division budgeting and purchasing decisions, as well as developing, nurturing and supporting customer relationships.
Working closely with MMI’s sale force, he also will be making sure that projects are delivered 'on time and on budget’.
