MediaMation Showcases Innovative VR and eSports Offerings at LA’s E3 Expo

Leading provider of interactive technologies, MediaMation Inc. (MMI), is unveiling VR and 4D offerings that tap into the exploding eSports competitive gaming industry at the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) in Los Angeles.

Attendees will be treated to a sneak peek at 4D Holographic Experience, “Mass Effect: New Earth”, “Gamesphere”, Arena eSports and REACTIVr™.

MMI’s VP/CTO, Dan Jamele, says the company is “venturing into the next level of immersive action in game play and spectatorship in eSports. By combining traditional cinema screens, monitors, or VR headsets with full motion, immersive MX4D® seats, we are creating a new paradigm in realism that is unmatched.”

MMI will showcasing highlights from its latest innovations at the Expo including a peek at action sequences from “Mass Effect: New Earth”, the new guest attraction at ‘California’s Great America – Santa Clara’. Visitors will wear VR headsets to experience the ride in the company’s mini “demo theatre”.

MMI will also be demonstrating GameSphere which takes 4D motion and adapts it for the growing eSports market. The circular arena features the company’s landmark MX4D® immersive technology, complete with pitch, roll, and heave motion seats, as well as special effects such as fog, water/air blasts, seat pokers, neck ticklers and scents.

“GameSphere offers a new, social, high tech competitive gaming experience that not only engages the players, but immerses the spectators in all of the action as well. It’s perfect for malls, casinos, Family Entertainment Centres, cruise ships, and more, " explains MMI Director of Sales and Marketing, Shawn Forgaard.

There will also be opportunities to experience Arena eSports technology and the company’s REACTIVr™ Networked Gaming Platform.

“We see the future of this technology to be spectacular in terms of generating new revenue streams for cinemas, theme parks, and other entertainment venues, ” adds Jamele.

The Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) runs from June 14-16 in Los Angeles at the L.A. Convention Center.
