New Themes Released for Tokyo Disney Resort® Redevelopment

News

Oriental Land Co., Ltd. has announced the themes for the Disney parks development at Tokyo Disney Resort®.

At Tokyo Disneyland® Park, two new areas within the Fantasyland redevelopment plan will be based around the Disney films Beauty and the Beast and Alice in Wonderland.

The company will also be creating a new Scandinavian-style port at Tokyo DisneySea® Park with one area themed specifically to the world of the Disney film Frozen.

The plans are part of a 500-billion-yen investment programme in the theme park business over the next ten years which was announced by the Oriental Land Group back in 2014.

The Fantasyland redevelopment will virtually double the size of the themed land at the resort. The new port at Tokyo DisneySea Park will extend the site into a new area south of Lost River Delta.

Future plans include renovating the entire existing Fantasyland and parts of Tomorrowland, Guest Parking and “backstage” areas.
